The \”Doomsday Aircraft\” known as the E-6B Mercury, which is designed for communication with nuclear submarines and control of strategic nuclear missiles, was recently deployed from the United States to Europe to perform operations in the US European Command\’s area of responsibility. As this aircraft\’s primary function is to control nuclear missiles, it has generated both increased interest and fear among the public. During the deployment, the crew members of the aircraft met with the US ambassador, diplomats, and military personnel in Iceland.
