First results of the second round of strategic stability talks between the US and Russia in Geneva
First results of the second round of strategic stability talks between the US and Russia in Geneva:

- progress has been made on some issues, but many discrepancies remain;
- two working groups will be created: the principles of arms control, the potential of strategic arms;
- voiced the concern of the Russian side in connection with the creation of AUKUS, which does not fit with the non-proliferation regime;
- On October 5, a bilateral commission on a treaty on the reduction of offensive arms will begin work in Geneva;
- voiced the Russian position on the unacceptability of the American military presence in Central Asia;
- progress has been made in the negotiations on cybersecurity;
- the parties assessed the negotiations as substantive.
