Italy wins EuroCup against England

The Italian national team won the European Football Championship today, Monday, at the expense of its English counterpart, after defeating it on penalties (3-2) in the final match that brought them together yesterday, Sunday, in London.





Manchester United defender Luke Shaw, 26, surprised the Azzurri with a quick goal in the second minute from the start of the whistle, against Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci responded with a equalizer in the 67th minute from a follow-up to a lost ball from inside the penalty area, after a corner kick, at Wembley Stadium in the British capital, London.




The Italian national team, "Squadra Azzurra", won the title of champion of the old continent for the first time in 53 years, after winning the title of "Euro 1968" champion, after qualifying for its fourth final at the level of the European Nations Cup, and the tenth final in the major tournaments (European Nations Cup). The World Cup, Germany holds the record for the number of times to reach the finals of these two tournaments with 14 times.



While the England national team reached the European Football Championship for the first time, its second final in a major tournament (European Nations and the World Cup), since the 1966 World Cup final that took place on the land of the cradle of football, and the “Three Lions” team won the title. His first and only major so far.
