🇺🇸🇳🇴 Lancers in Norway

Exactly before today's holiday, the Pentagon presented a "gift" to the Ministry of Defense and for the first time deployed Rockwell B-1B Lancer strategic bombers to Norway. Prior to this, B-1Bs had never been based in Norway.

US Air Force B-1Bs arrived in Norway from Dyess AFB in Texas on Monday and will take part in an exercise in the Arctic Circle. The Lancers will stay at the Norwegian Air Force Erlan airbase for about three weeks.

The Pentagon said the move is a "clear signal" to Russia of the strategic importance of the Arctic region.
