NASA launches most powerful telescope ever made
NASA has launched the largest and most powerful telescope ever produced, the James Webb telescope, into orbit.
On board the Ariane 5 rocket, which launched from French Guiana in South America, the $10 billion telescope is set for a one-month journey that will see it reach its destination around 1.6 million kilometers away.

It is hoped the telescope will facilitate greater understanding on the beginnings of the universe and the Big Bang. NASA is aiming for ten years of operation from the telescope.
