NATO exercise Ramstein Alloy kicks off in Baltic airspace

Today in the skies of 🇪🇪 Estonia, 🇱🇻 Latvia and 🇱🇹 Lithuania, a two-day exercise of the air forces of the NATO countries and partners of the Ramstein Alloy alliance began, the main task of which is to work out the protection of the airspace of the Baltic countries. This time, the leading role is assigned to the Estonian Air Force and the Emari airbase. The exercise marks the 60th anniversary of the NATO air police mission. The alliance conducts such maneuvers three times a year.

During the maneuvers, procedures for communication, management and airspace security are being worked out, including scenarios for escorting an aircraft with failed communication equipment, identifying low-speed aircraft, as well as search and rescue operations.
