New European Corvette Ship (EPC)

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡น๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ท The European Defense Agency (EDA) will support PESCO's project to develop a single patrol corvette European Patrol Corvette, EPC. At the moment, Italy, France, Spain and Greece are participating in the project.

The project participants intend to receive a prototype of the corvette being developed in 2026-2027. The ship is conceived as modular, capable of quickly adapting to different missions. The EPC will become a basic platform that can be modified by the participating countries in accordance with their national requirements and needs. The EPC is expected to have a displacement of about 3,000 tons and a length not to exceed 110 meters.

The main contractors for this project are Fincantieri (Italy) and Naval Group (France). Apparently, the newly created joint venture NAVIRIS will take over the design.

Maritime Unmanned Anti-Submarine System โ€“ MUSAS

The Maritime Unmanned Anti-Submarine System (MUSAS) aims to develop and deliver an advanced command, control and communications (C3) service architecture, for anti-submarine warfare, taking advantage of cutting-edge technology and artificial intelligence, in order to counter area denial methods of adversaries. Moreover, it will enhancethe protection of underwater high-valueinfrastructures as well as sea-based energy systems, providing quick response with appropriate levels of force to intrusion or threat to sea lines of communication.

The participating countries are Portugal, France, Spain, Sweden.
