Turkey will supply Kenya 118 Hizir armored vehicles
Turkish armored vehicle manufacturers continue to squeeze out Chinese defense industry corporations on the African continent. It is reported that the Turkish company Katmerciler Araç Üstü Ekipman Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. will supply to Kenya 118 Hizir armored vehicles of the MRAP class, with a capacity of up to 9 people. The vehicle is equipped with a typical combination of a Cummins ISL diesel engine (400 hp) and an Allison 3000 automatic transmission. The armament includes an Aselsan SARP remotely controlled weapon station. The contract amount is USD 91.4 million.
